Cybernetic Creatures

I enjoy working with Arduino, an open-source electronic platform, to create what I call “cybernetic creatures” that sense and respond to environmental stimuli. These playful installations are meant to read and collect environmental data such as humidity levels, soil moisture, light conditions etc. and illustrate what’s going on through kinetic responses. By making these types of creatures, I hope to communicate the ease at which all people (non-scientists, children, whoever) can understand our what’s going on in the natural world through sensing.  Here are some creatures that I have made. If you are interested in building upon this work, please reach out to me. I am happy to share any code and procesess.
